Dual-certified protection in an acetate frame

The OG 080 carries both the US ANSI Z87.1 and the Canadian CSA Z94.3 impact ratings, so a single frame is approved on either side of the border — the reason OnGuard frames appear on so many corporate safety-eyewear programs. The frame is acetate rather than nylon, which gives it a warmer, more everyday-eyewear look than most rated safety frames, in a brown amber finish.

Removable side shields

Side shields ship with the frame and clip off. That means one purchase covers both situations: shields on where lateral protection is required, shields off when the frame is worn as ordinary eyewear. Because the shields are removable rather than molded in, check your site’s requirements — where shields are mandatory, they need to be fitted.

Prescription lenses for the work environment

The OG 080 is glazed to your prescription in polycarbonate, the impact-resistant lens material that holds the Z87.1 rating. Single-vision, bifocal and progressive prescriptions are all supported. Anti-fog is worth adding for humid or temperature-swinging environments, anti-reflective for screens and night driving, and anti-scratch to survive a toolbox.

Two sizes, one model

Eye size 51 with a 140 mm temple suits narrower faces; eye size 55 with a 145 mm temple covers wider ones. Both share an 18 mm bridge. Pick the size from your current frame’s markings if you have them.
