Most rated safety frames are nylon. The OG 109 is titanium — lighter on the nose and temples over a full shift, corrosion-resistant, and hypoallergenic for wearers who react to other metals. It is the premium end of the OnGuard prescription line, and the price reflects the material rather than styling.
Dual certification, EZ Shields fitted
The OG 109 carries both the US ANSI Z87.1 and the Canadian CSA Z94.3 impact ratings, so one frame is approved on both sides of the border. EZ Shield side shields come fitted, giving lateral coverage without a wraparound silhouette.
Prescription lenses for the work environment
Lenses are glazed to your prescription in polycarbonate, the impact-resistant material that holds the Z87.1 rating. Single-vision, bifocal and progressive prescriptions are supported. Add anti-fog for humid or temperature-swinging environments, anti-reflective for screens and night driving, and anti-scratch for durability.
