The open version of the 220S

The standard OG 220S ships with a dust dam — the soft gasket that seals the gap between frame and face all the way around. This version does not have one. That is a deliberate choice, not a downgrade: a sealed frame is the right answer for grinding, sanding and masonry, but it traps warm air against the lens, and in a hot environment or on a wearer who fogs easily an open frame is more comfortable and stays clearer.

Triple certification, integral side shields

The frame carries the US ANSI Z87.1, the Canadian CSA Z94.3 and the European EN 166 impact ratings — the widest approval set in the OnGuard prescription range, which is what puts it on multinational safety programs. The side shields are integral to the frame rather than clipped on, so the lateral protection cannot be left off at the bench.

Prescription lenses for the work environment

Lenses are glazed to your prescription in polycarbonate, the impact-resistant material that holds the Z87.1 rating. Single-vision, bifocal and progressive prescriptions are supported, and the 220S has enough lens depth for a progressive corridor. Anti-reflective and anti-scratch coatings are available, and anti-fog is optional here rather than near-essential as it is on the sealed version.

Colors and fit

Eye size 55-15-130 in Clear/Chestnut Brown, Purple/White and Grey/Pink; eye size 58-15-135 in Clear/Chestnut Brown and Green/Yellow. If you want the sealed configuration instead, order the standard OG 220S — and if you already own one and the gasket has perished, the OG 220S Dust Dam is available as a replacement part.
