Description
Why this frame
Most certified safety frames look like safety frames. The C211 is a metal aviator, so it reads as ordinary eyewear on the drive home and still passes the walkthrough on site. At 56-15-140 it is a middle fit, and the metal front holds its adjustment better than a plastic frame that has spent a summer in a truck cab.
Side shields are the choice on this page
The EZ Shields version arrives with clear wraparound shields already fitted, for sites that require lateral protection. The plain version is the same frame without them. If there is any chance your site requires shields, order them fitted rather than finding out on Monday.
What the certification means here
This frame is rated to ANSI Z87.1 and CSA Z94.3. Both marks are stamped on the frame, so the pair documents itself on a walkthrough. The rating covers the frame and lens as an assembly, which is why the lens is polycarbonate — a certified frame carrying an uncertified lens is not a certified pair.
