No shields, and that is the point

Side shields are what make safety glasses look like safety glasses. Where the hazard assessment does not call for lateral protection — labs, inspection, quality, supervision, driving between sites — ALPHA-SV gives the wearer an ANSI Z87.1 frame that passes as ordinary eyewear.

A conventional fit

56-17-128 is close to a standard optical frame, which is why it fits most people who have worn regular glasses. That familiarity is worth more than it sounds when the goal is getting someone to keep the frame on.
