Shields that are part of the frame

The side shields are molded into the frame rather than clipped on. Nothing to fit at the start of a shift, nothing to lose, and no rating that quietly stops applying because a shield worked loose in a pocket.

Compact safety frames usually drop the side shields to stay slim. UVERSE keeps them, so a narrower face gets the same permanent lateral protection as a 65 mm frame without wearing something that sits proud at the temples.
