SafeVision

SafeVision safety glasses are prescription safety frames built by HOYA for full shifts in real working conditions. We carry SafeVision frames, and we make each one to your prescription. Every frame in the range is tested to the current ANSI Z87.1 standard.
What SafeVision makes
The range splits into four groups, and the right one depends on what is coming at your eyes.

Full-rim plastic frames such as the Guardian, Echo and Ranger. Lightweight ZYLO fronts, most with side shields molded into the frame rather than clipped on, so there is nothing to lose at the start of a shift.
Metal frames in the SVSS and SVTI series, in finishes including Gunmetal, Antique Bronze and Satin Silver, for people who want a safety frame that does not read as one.
Sealed frames, the SV20 and SV26, which ship with a removable full-seal gasket, a foam dust bar and a head strap. Both are badged non-conductive by the manufacturer.
Sport-profile frames, the SVSR-4 and SVSR-5, with single-lens wrap coverage up to 75 mm wide.

Choosing a SafeVision frame by job

Dust, grinding, and overhead work. Look for a sealed frame or one with a removable foam dust bar. The SV20, SV26, and Misfire all include one.
Electrical work. The SV20 and SV26 carry the manufacturer’s non-conductive badge, which means no metal parts or a passed dielectric test.
All-day wear. The plastic fronts keep the weight down, and several frames run temples with an industrial edge treatment that holds under a hard hat.
A strong prescription. Lens height matters more than most people expect. Deeper frames such as the Misfire give the lab room to work on progressives.

Prescription limits worth knowing
Some SafeVision frames cannot take every prescription. The manufacturer publishes a power limit for several models, and a few accept polycarbonate only, or single vision and progressive only. Each product page lists the limits for that frame. If your prescription sits outside the range, we will tell you before we make the glasses rather than after.
Certification
Every SafeVision frame we sell is tested to ANSI Z87.1. The frame and the lens work as one certified system, so the frame holding your prescription matters as much as the lens itself. Your prescription is checked by our team before production, and if we get it wrong, we remake it for free.
